Seen against the light, Saturn’s largest moon Titan shows a ring. It is due to the thick hazy atmosphere, one of the three nitrogen-dominated atmospheres in the Solar System (the others being the Earth and Neptune’s moon Triton). Methane gas, also present, is at the origin of the complex chemistry on Titan. Perhaps Titan looks somewhat like the Earth before life came to be.
